How do you know that it's on a MINI One? Have you seen the car yourself? If so, where?

If you know where, you could try posting the same message on a local clubsite to where you saw it... If you let me know where, I could point you to a local site.

No mate I did an hpi check on the car just.

Any other advice?

Not that I`m advocating it, but you could pose as a private car parking firm & request details from the DVLA about that reg. Or simply bribe a dodgy clamping firms employee for said details.

Assuming you`re not "Ryan" as found HERE then I`d guess He has your plate & would be pretty easy to contact / find.

If the above isn't what you're looking for, have you tried some of the Reg Plate places? I think it's newreg.co.uk, who will contact the owner for you, to see if they are willing to sell it.

Tried private plates and a few others but they told me they cannot trace, as the plate is on a vechile.

Any other ideas?

I can't see this being possible - Because if you were to say 'I want to track down this plate', companies could think you were tracking down somebody for 'sinister' activities.

I'd be very suprised if you could pull this off with the DVLA. They should be pretty hot on with bogus callers and the data protection act. I worked for another govt. dept and they get a lot of bogus calls, mainly debt agencies after peoples personal info to track them down.
If you do decide to give this a try, beware that if they suss you may be tracked as a bogus caller ........ don't want to get you into any trouble

Yea I know that, not even going to try it. Its just that plate really matches my name, my mum has one similar, but she got hers for £80. Will hopefully manage to fnd the owner, by a stroke of luck.
