Yeh, I own a ONE D. Its a 1.4 Toyota engine, which came with either 75bhp or 88bhp, depending on the age of the car. Mine is one of the last made, and as such is an 88bhp model.
It runs very well. Mpg wise, it returns an average of about 40mpg at the moment, but that is because I usually drive it quite hard. When I'm being sensible on long journeys 53mpg is entirely possible.
Performance wise, I'd say it is easily on par with the ONE petrol, and having driven both I definitely prefer the D. It has more poke in the mid range, and I'm pretty certain it would be quicker in the real world.
I have also driven a Cooper, and getting back into my ONE D didn't feel as slow as I thought it might. The Cooper definitely is quicker though, they are great cars.
How come you don't have it over there? Is it because demand would likely be fairly low?
James.

I am not sure why we do not have it here, i think mostly due to the fact that it would not be viable for BMW to bring it here, and the diesel here is a bit dodgy (I think) according to some articles I have read!
