Offline | Why no solid black? I am sure that this has been debated before but why is there no true black in the mini line up? Is there someone at mini HQ with an obsession for the colour blue? There are soooo many in the range and even the black has a bluey tinge to it. Come on mini and re-introduce a solid black or a metallic black that is BLACK. Also, white is back. What about a solid white mini. Any thoughts anyone? |

Offline | http://www.mini2.com/forum/2nd-gen-e...ack-hello.html Read this one. Sounds like a proper black may be making a come back! even though I do like astro black a real black is definitely lacking. My old Solid black was just so brilliant! They are a bit obsessed with blue aren't they. ![]() |

Offline | It's because they dropped Indi Blue and have spent ever since trying to beat it, without success... The new metallic black is apparently black black. But still metallic. |

Offline | Thats so true Paul! Indi blue the best blue (apart from space thats lush too!) I'll like to see the black but of course they will charge for it. Real Black was mega popular so they aren't making that mistake again and having it a free option. I remember I asked the dealer what the difference was in the cosmos black and the solid black II back in 2003 when I was ordering my first MINI and the sales guy couldn't even tell me which was which. That confirmed that my free choice was the right choice! Will be happy to see a real black again. ![]() |

Offline | Some people are living in the past ![]() Silk Green was horrible, OK my opinion but very few were sold. Much as I liked Indi Blue, I do not think it is any better than Hyper Blue or Lightning Blue. Agree that MINI needs a true black. Not sure a pure white would suit it though, even if it is making a come back. On red. I bet the new metallic red bites the dust soon, just like the original metallic, Velvet Red. Offline | I've never ever seen a metallic red I liked - on ANY car. Whereas any metallic blue looks good to me. Non-metallic red can look stunning - on Ferraris... and Minis! ![]() |
