Hi Scott,

Yep I feed in through a wired FM transmitter to the rear of the head unit. I too had concerns about how it would sound but at less than £30 delivered I took the chance.

The sound quality is fine, probably the same as a good quality FM broadcast. On very few occasions when I am driving around (out of my local area) I sometimes get just a second of what I would call interference. But it is literally a second and my Mrs says she has never noticed it so i may just be being over critical.

However there is also a traditional Aux cable too so if you have a compatible headunit you could connect via this.

In summary I think its brilliant for the money and it also charges the ipod at the same time. I bought a damaged Ipod mini (cracked screen) from Ebay for about £20 and its permanently in the car.

Any other questions just ask,

Cheers,
Rich.

I dont think you could make a MINI look tacky the thing i do hate is when you see cars trying to be a MINI by putting bonnet stripes e.g. puntos, clios, suzuki swifts, peugeot 106. I also saw a fiesta the other day with a checkered roof it just doesnt work if its not a MINI

I think it is certainly possible to go overboard with modifications, etc. At the end of the day is is a very personal thing, especially with MINI's. I certainly believe there are combinations that MINI allow possibility to spec that should be outlawed and conversely there are specs that are not possible, despite being in much better taste, IMO.

I suppose that is the bottom of the issue though...it is only my opinion and personal taste.

Brian.

Has anyone else come down with this illness,

Where did you get the Cooper Signature stickers from? They are really good and I'd love to get some!

I saw exactly the same thing about a week ago on a Focus! I thought it was just one Ford owner doing a one-off, but if you've seen it too then Ford must be offering it on new builds. You know the adverts - 'should have gone to SpecSavers'?

Should have gone to MINI.

All the best,
Andrew.

I think the MINI is a car with a 'cheeky' personality & can get away with certain mods that would definately not suit other cars.

You're so right! The best bit about having a mini (apart from the driving of it of course) is the opportunity to add you own little/big 'tweaks' here and there. We will all like different 'extras' naturally, but go on...make it your own

As with others on here, you can go over the top. But it's all subjective, we all have different opinions on what's conservative, what's too much etc. If you like the look of it yourself then you should do it.

I've always liked the idea of less is more, the whole Q-car thing. I have a MCS but every now again I'd like to hit a button and for the alloys to enlarge from 17" to 18", viper stripes to appear etc etc but I guess I'm now being a bit stupid.

Just promise me one thing, and apologies to anyone on here with them (just not my taste that's all) but don't fit chrome plated A-, B-, and C-pillars.

There is a Fiesta at the Ford Dealers in Stafford and it is Lime Green and has a chequered roof and it has been on the forecourt for four months or more

There's a new shape Fiesta in green with the chequered roof just down the road from me, so must be an official ford accessory?
