Offline | MINI in Australia In Oz at mo and have a few MINI findings to report, haven't spotted many, but the C.R are a slightly deeper red which I suspect is something to do with Sun protection , The pricing (due to freight I suspect )is something to behold out here $54K for a JCWSC with Chili Pack (which excludes an alarm) conversion rate is around 2.2, so yeah that's an expensive small car although you do get full JCW brake kit within the price. No TLC style options either and nil MINI Ones either due to need for constant air con so demand on engine.Tried to hire an S for duration of stay, but they are all auto, which is not for me. So making do with big ol pick up truck/yewt - may stick some viper stripes on it ![]() So nothing revelatory to report but jus thought I'd share. ![]() |

Offline | Do they sell enough MINIs in Australia to warrant dedicated dealerships? Or are they sold through BMW dealers I wonder. On the same thread I am interested to know how BMW will market the anticipated Triumph and Isetta brands, would make sense at least for the new Triumph to share MINI dealerships, whilst the Isetta always was a BMW in most markets. |

Offline | Where abouts in Oz are you femstar? Melbourne also has it's own dedicated MINI garage, but there are also around half a dozen BMW dealers who have MINI dealers as part of the overall set up. There are quite a few around, although I am yet to see another Clubman on the road. |
