Typical!!! LOL

Guys,

Every time I wash my MINI it rains. I apologise but today I spent 3.5hrs cleaning him, and lo and behold, sleet!!!!

ARGH! He was looking so smart too, engine bay cleaned, door jams, a good polish and wax, autosol on the exhaust... Driving round with the sunroof back was like the day I picked him up on 02/06/07.... Ahhh, memories.

I've just noticed that the engine and gear box feels better than every, really smooth and... chunky (?). It's just hit 17,000 miles.

If I ever post on her the day I've washed my MINI, don't do yours as it will rain!

Jay

I washed Winston today, first time for aaaaages! Even used the water magnet towels, ready for a nice layer of wax. Then it rained. Winston has still not been waxed, I think he feels naked.

I feel your pain!!

Washed my car a few times, and then had to retreat into the garage to save my hard work . Sometimes given my car a rinse in the garage, and frequently the Autoglym cloth treatment inside, due to a sudden deterioration in the weather

I know - doesn't it just drive you mad!!!

I justify washing the car once a week (even if it does rain straight after) by the fact that if I didn't wash it once a week, there would be twice as much dirt to remove in two weeks time!

Dry weather brings its problems too - last week it didn't rain at all, but by the end of the week, my car had a light layer of dust on it. The next thing that usually happens is that a heavy dew sits on the dust, and streaks appear! You just can't win!

That is very true!!!

I washed the car last Sunday and it didnt get caught in the rain all week! But with all the dust and then condensation it settled into large areas of black dust.

Never win though!

It's the same as planning a barbeque. If you do ANY sort of forward planning, on the day of your barbeque, it will stair rod it down, even if every other day has been bright sunshine. S0d's Law I think it is

It'd be worse if you lived in Glasgow. It rains all the time... then when you actually go out and buy a raincoat and umbrella - it stops! So the next day you leave your new water protection items at home, go out for whatever reason, and rain arrives as soon as you're nowhere near shelter.

I swear, the clouds around here...

I wouldn't mind so much, but the April showers are depositing a good layer of sand on my car
