Has anyone sold their MINI for shipping from the UK to Europe?

Not sure if this sale of my MINI is genuine......seems alot of effort.

Yes, we'll be there Looking forward to it!

Be very, very careful of this kind of sale. If it's what I think it is then I have not heard of a sale of this kind that hasn't been a scam before

Can you tell us more?

Tigger.

The buyer (from Denmark) has sent a cheque for £5k. The 10% deposit was only £1270, and I need to pay back the difference by Western Union (once the cheque has cleared) direct to his shipper.
His UK 'associate' is inspecting the car on Thursday
The balance is being paid on Friday direct to my bank account.
There will be NO exchange until this has cleared with First Direct. The car will be released early later next week...

Western union is a fraudsters dream to transfer money as it is only delivered to an office then once some 1 collects it, its gone - untracable!

Why would you give some 1 more money than needed and ask for the excess back in this way? Money laundering? Fraud?

I would not touch this with any length of pole!

First fishy thing: Why on earth are you having to pay the shipper?

Second fishy thing: Why send a cheque for over the needed deposit?

Third fishy thing: UK Assosicate?

I don't want to put a downer on this but........don't do it!

This is the Standard Cashiers Cheque Scam >> read about it HERE

Please understand that the cheque will "APPEAR" to clear into your bank but you will later find that nothing has cleared due to a loophole in the banking system that allows these false clearances.

If an "AGENT" is due to come & see your car, please make your local police are informed.
