Pic of my new cooper S, what fuel question, and does it look low to you?

Hi,

First of all a pic of our new cooper S:

How good does that look!

Couple of questions:

1) Vpower/99ron or normal?

2) Does it look lower than standard to you?

Its a cherished mini and there was nothing special re the suspension mentioned....

Hi Michael - nice looking MINI you have there

It does look as though it's riding a little low - but if you look at the car, a previous owner has made a few mods, so its possible it has been lowered

In case you don't know, the non standard parts fitted are the aero front grill, mated with a standard front bumper, and the red painted brake calipers which may or may not be JCW brakes (they will have a logo on them if they are).

Also the mirror caps look really white against the pepper white paintwork, they should all be pepper white, but that may be a trick of the camera

Nice MINI

I can't make my mind up if it has been lowered or not, Time to park it next to another and get the tape measure out

In a standard state of tune it should only need standard 95 RON petrol. Having said that, I have recently changed from 97 RON (Sainsbury's) to 99 RON (Shell V Power) and feel that it improved the way it drives after a few tanks of fuel. Mind you, it could be my imagination!

Tigger.

nice - I really want mine to have red brake calipers - did you paint yours or are the calipers themselves red?

heres another side on pic - look at how low the rear wheels sit in the arches....not that I'm an expert mind!

We had a cooper before this, and I've driven a cooper S and this feels more planted and I woudl say a bit quicker. It has an LSD too - I wonder if its had some sneaky engine mods?

M17, the calipers themselves are red. It came from a mini dealer, so I'm slightly suprised they werent listed (aero kit etc) - to be honest I didnt notice till I picked it up, but I'm pretty pleased!

Thanks for the replies

Looks fairly normal from that shot

You haven't actually got the aero kit, the bumpers and skirts are standard, but you do have an aero grill and the aero spolier by the looks of it

Jon,

That is a standard S spoiler, I used to have an aero one in the old Cooper...

Given the choice again I would probably have gone for Pepper White, it's a great colour

John.

Fair enough Tigger - I haven't owned a MINI with a spolier yet, so I still can't tell obviously!
