Hi guys,

Have had my car 5 weeks now, anyhow, a birdy pooped on the windscreen today, and it was the first time I have had to use my washers.
I found that when I pulled the washer towards me, the wipers do not automatically go on for a couple of wipes as they have in every other car I have ever owned

Is this normal? the car is only 8 months old, but find it odd that you have to use the washer function, and then turn the wipers on.

can anybody let me know!

Mine do 4 or 5 wipes when I pull the stalk towards me but you need to hold it so you get a fair amount of water on the screen before you get a wipe. Try a 'one elephant, two elephant' hold, works for me
