So, what brought you into the world of MINI2?

I was browsing the net one afternoon - and a thought came to me of an ad i remember seeing in a Mini magazine (I think...) and i thought OK I'll sign up and see whats what - And the rest is history as they say

So back in Aug '06 (when I signed up), the family motor was a Kia Sorento XE Auto, and my only driving license was an MSA race license

Things have changed a considerable amount since then - Now got an R56 Cooper (After lots of persuasion on my part, and great write-ups and pics from MINI2 Which helped for sure)

I now have a driving license And a Fiesta (saving hard for a MINI so nothing has changed there)

I'm still yet to have a MINI of my own - And wish to get on a MINI meet soon (when I have a MINI )


So then, what's your MINI2 story?

I was a lurker, not a poster, for about a year before I joined up. Don't remember exactly how I fell in here. I was probably looking up something that was wrong with my first MINI (he was a bit of a lemon).

I bought my first MINI about 9 months ago, and then decided to see what info I could find on the internet. Found MINI2 quite easily and signed up straight away. Never realised how many people visit the site and read threads, but never contribute!
The forums have helped enormously with mods on my car, and finding people to do various jobs (used 3 MINI2 sponsors). Also been a great source of information in getting a number of faults rectified

Our 03 MINI entered the family in March 2003 and we found MINI2 by searching on Google Signed up for the first Heartbeat run and been here ever since despite not having a MINI since September 2006

I think I was looking fro some specific information and I put "MINI Enthusiast UK" or such into a search engine....look were I ended up!

Sadly Im also MINI-less. Hopefully very, very soon I will have my very own R56 and not have to drive my mothers Suzuki LINNA.

think I googled MINI all those years ago (well, almost 4 years ) when I was just buying my S and came across MINI2 that way - been here ever since great site and great people to boot - made some fantastic friends and met some bloody brilliant people too

After ordering my MCS at the end of 2004, I had a long wait to kill, so my brother suggested I search for a forum (he has used them for a while) to find out information on MINIs as I knew nothing except I had a great test drive!!

So I Googled and came across M2. I then lurked for a bit before signing up. Think I wanted to ask a question about something. As time has gone on I have become a more prolific poster (OT&B helps!). Have yet to go on any runs but hopefully that will change this year!

I googled it whilst looking for info in early 2003 (had just placed my order for my MCS).

6 months later car arrived, had learnt a lot from the site already, went on a lot of runs, met some cracking people.

My my lovely better half through the site (who moved in with me 2 years ago).

Sold the mini in 2005 and still coming here...

i had to check back to see when i joined

it was autumn 2002 & i'd placed my order for my first Cooper & was getting impatient waiting for it, so i started looking around the internet for Cooper/Mini websites & clubs to see if there were any worth joining. The classic sites didn't seem to offer anything except a front page & a method of paying a subscription to get a monthy/ quarterly newsletter - & then i found this place.

I got the car in december, went on my first run a couple of months later & was hooked from there. 5.5 years & 2 Coopers later & i'm now taking a sabatical & enjoying some 2 seater rear wheel drive open top action - but who knows...

I've just taken a 5 month break from MINI ownership, and now set to rejoin tomorrow

Had been to the Launch in June 2001 and so smitten with the MINI and just had to have one. Looking for every scrap of info on the MINI I could find I stumbled on M2 in July 2001 and have been here ever since....

A few MINIs have come and gone since that first CR/W Cooper and I still get a buzz from both the car and this community. I have been fortunate enough to meet some top people over the last 7 years....
