300bhp GGR Turbo conversion Mini for sale.....

FIRST OFF: Not mine or in any way associated with me.

I thought you'd all be interested to see the BBR Turbo conversion Mini Cooper S with 300+bhp has surfaced for sale on Pistonheads.

Sadly, since owning it 3 years, the owner has only covered 1000 miles in it. What a waste. if ever there was a case for more money than sense, this is surely it? He's asking rather a rediculous amount of cash for a car that hasnt really even been run in or prooved as a good conversion imho as well.

in the words of Ricky of Gervais, You having a laugh.

Damn, whast he doing, adding up all his receipts then sellign it for what he spent.

15k maybe, but even that would be deemed expensive in my book

That sort of money for 307bhp? It seems to me that the GTT 300T (now 350T or 400T?) is a much better deal! Somehow, I don't think that BBR converted S will go for anywhere near the asking price.

All the best,
Andrew.

£15,000 for the car, £15,000 for the BBR conversion. £30,000 total.
I'd hope to get £20,000 for the car (at least)

If the car is from BBR, perhaps it also comes with a BBR warranty.

Ohhh..... this is going to open a whole can of "selling a modified car" worms.

PS. Who is GGR ?

Cheers,
K.

£480 for every 1 bhp over mine... Mmm bargain! It defo makes the GTT turbo conversion very good value indeed.

No expense spared but his upper bonnet grille (original cooper S grille) and lower bumper grille (aero grille) don't match. I don't like that looks unfinished. I know nothing about tuning but very expensive for a 55 reg car!

Looks exceptionally expensive when you think that the top of the line, brand new BMW 135i M Sport convertible loaded with a 3.5 litre, 307 hp, straight 6 and with everything that Mini has is only £2k more... probably the same price with some haggling... I love MINI's but I know which one I'd rather have parked on my drive....

The guy will be lucky to get 2/3rds of the asking price IMO.

135i only has a 3 litre engine... bmw muck around with their badges and it does now not match with engine size.

Nice car though, bit wee inside for my liking (ok..only since I have 2 kids to fit in)..
