| 50th Anniversary? Hi, does anyone know what date in 2009 is officially recognised as the 50th birthday of the Mini? Cheers Ian Not here much any more  |

| Sometime in August We are now in the beginning stages of planning for the IMM09, we have big plans for this, as not only is it an International Mini Meet, but it's also the 50th birthday of the Mini! The dates have been confirmed as 7-9th August 2009. Birmingham Mini Owners Club - IMM 2009 |

| That's fantastic! We've a 20 year old Mini Designer and an 08 'S' Works and Longbridge is only about 20 miles from here. My dad used to work at the Longbridge factory in the late 50s,60s and very early 70s - mainly in the pattern shop making casts from wood and then moved into research and development doing a similar thing. Well done to the Birmingham Mini Owners Club! (which coincidentally I didn't know existed but will look properly at the web site now!)
