Offline | Help!! Can't stop driving it! Help, I can't stop driving my MINI!! I've had it a fortnight now and I've done over 1,500 miles! And it's only a mile to work (and I often walk that!!) I just love it, I can't get enough of it. I'm only not driving it now because I've forced myself to stay in tonight (and that's mainly because I cleaned it this morning. Then drove it. Then had to clean all the blimmin bugs off of it. If I go out now I'll only need to clean it again and the neighbors will think I'm insane..!) Does the obsession wear off after a while...? (Please tell me it does). I like 'em big... |

Offline | No, not for many...................has lasted over 30 years for me if you include the classic Mini obsession I still have, if anything the new MINI is more addictive because you can have the same fun drives but over longer distances (more refined / less tiring than the original !) ![]() |

Offline | Obsession NEVER wears off! Ive had my mini now for nearly 3 years, and I still love driving it as much as the first time I got it! funny thing is, is I convinced the misses mum to buy a Mini ONE, and when she test drove it, I told her that once she engages first gear and pulls away, she will be in love and will put a deposit down! after 30mins we got back to the dealers and she was screaming for the dotted line! ![]() |

Offline | My MINI drinks a lot more than I do these days. ![]() 3 MINIs since Sept 2001, well over 80k in total and I can't stop smiling whenever I get behind the wheel. Any excuse and out come the keys, well thinking about it, I never need an excuse ![]() |

| Giggity-goo! | Getting drunk is cheaper these days. I was recently in Gibraltar, and the petrol there is 68p a litre. Going back through the border to Spain, we were only allowed two bottles of wine through customs. I wanted to down the wine and fill the bottles with petrol, but my g/f wouldn't let me ![]() ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | It will never wear off. You may have a bit of a lapse, it'll get a bit dirty, you'll give it a really good clean, see how fit it is and fall in love all over again. You'll start referring to it as he or she, give it a name then start buying it presents, remember its birthday and talk to it as you drive along. Your friends and family may have you sectioned and your significant other may leave you. All par for the course really and if this site didn't exist, god knows how MINI enthusiasts would go round expressing their emotions....... ![]() ![]() ![]() Every time! I hate being a passenger and can't remember the last time anyone drove me somewhere and as my other half drives a clone silver mark4 golf TDI, you can probably understand why. |
