Hi all,
Well, almost a year after purchase and various delays (such as off-road motorcycle accidents and winter) getting in the way of giving her the complete "you're mine now" treatment - here she is: Betty MkIII.

Took me almost a year of looking to find this particular car and I did seem to have quite a few initial "teething" problems, that said however everything was sorted under warranty and now everything is absolutely peachy - many thanks to the Mini Park Lane, Battersea Service Center - highly recommended!

A couple of really nice day-trips through the back-roads this week (one has to love the "avoid motorways" button on the Sat Nav) has put any thoughts I may have had of ending my Mini experience right out the window.....
Quite scary actually when you do the sums, how economical vs performance even a Cooper S is to run..
I was looking into either a 00/01 3-Series or MB CLK and just the insurance alone would have been more than double not to mention servicing/maintenance - realistically I'd be looking at around £1500 - £2000 more in running costs per year - not including the difficult and time consuming task of finding a 7 year old car in pristine condition.

March 05 build, 17k miles on the clock and I have no need to commute so 90% of anything that goes on the odometer are pleasure miles.
