my mini's hyper blue, when i first bought it, it had a white roof, white mirror caprs and white bonnet stripes. since then, the stripes have gone, i've got carbon fiber mirror caps,color coded the wheels black, the wheel arches are hyperblue and i'm trying to decide:-

1.the roof color - ?black or ?blue? (it's booked into the stealers next week)
2.whether i should get a jcw spoiler to go with it or just cover the holes in my roof with replacement fins from BMW (£11) . (i've removed the cooper s spoiler)
3.black bonnet stripes or the clean look?

i've been changing my mind everyday, and my friends, girlfriend and family are split, so now i turn to the mini2forum for advice...... i've attached pics of my car....

I say go for the blue roof with the spoiler. A lot of people think the body and roof the same colour = a ONE, but I have seen some great looking single colour S's which are usually well specced. It would be a brave decision but I think it would look great .

Have you considered the Aero spoiler? The dealers get in primer, and will spray it any colour for you. Blue . I think it would tie in a treat with your side skirts and colour coded wheel arches

...Black roof will look awesome and the JCW spoiler will top it off nicely, although i reckon the S spoiler at least would be needed.

black roof jcw spoiler for a deffinate makes the car look level with your black alloys will give the impression of pulling the roof down towards the wheels then limo tint the rear window and rear side windows

yes, they're excellent - obviously they're expensive (£130/hour) they do a 10% discount on parts - you need to ask for the discount....and the roof colour?

I'd go with black and JCW spoiler, especially if all JCW spoilers have the carbon fiber cuz that would tie in nicely with your mirror caps. Ever considered the carbon fiber bonnet scoop?

I would go totally against the tide here. Keep the white roof, change those wheels again and make them white. Then get yourself a blue spoiler.

i've got the bbr scoop, it supposedly lowers temps by 10 degrees celsius - don't if thisis actually true, you're right though, the carbon fibre scoop is cool.

I like MJK's idea. Those wheels do not work with a white roof, but white wheels most defineately would

well i have made my choice and i have joined the dark side, roof is now being painted black as we speak and a jcw spoiler is on it's way from a german bmw main dealer (£260delivered versus the best price from the sponsor here of £340, i need to pay an extra £25 for bmw adhesive.)...., also thinking about getting 18" jcw wheels and selling my refurbed wheels, again alot cheaper from german main dealers though still expensive, they come with bridgestone runflats - not sure i want those though, gonna see if they can do them with michelin pilot non runflat tyres instead. (£1100 vs. £1500+ from BMW dealers here) i think you also get a 1.5% vat refund as tax is 19% in germany.
