I need help MINI2'ers!!

Well, Mum and Dad have been looking at cars to replace the MINI with Dad's been looking for some time, but not been so serious, but today we went to Audi to look at the S5, then almost walked out with an A3 Cabrio (No doubting the fact it was a very nice car and had the perfect spec, but it's not a MINI! See pics below - not great but you get the idea)

As much as I try, it looks like something negative is going to happen It's looking quite serious at the mo This is where I need your help MINI2'ers - I need arguements/reasons to keep the MINI!!

Cheers again, Ollie

That was the first one I tried - That didn't go down well

Just an R56 Cooper I agree, it is an incredibly smart car at a very good price including the kit it has, but again, its not a MINI

The Audi has the MINI licked on the first two (Well, same for road tax, but the Audi will do 55 odd mpg, but not the latter - May be going for a drive later this week ) I suggested a Cooper D, but we wouldn't have another MINI straight away - We're trading up for space reasons

Quote: Originally Posted by Posts001 (original)

I did suggest that, but the only reason the old MINI went was because of the space, and I was only 13 at the time!! So that's a no unfortunatly

Something I've since thought of since posting is that I may well get my MINI soon (well, 12 months max with a bit of luck), so we wouldn't be MINI'less, but until then, nothing And the fact that I love that car - Don't ask why, but I really it - More than any other car Mum and Dad had before

Regards,
Ollie

Just tell them that you are liable to suffer Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

If they love you, they'll stick with the Mini.

If they insist on getting the Audi though...

Audi = Boring.
Cabrio = Girly and/or hairdresser.

If they buy that car, they will both appear to be either boring girls or dull hairdressers.

(Disclaimer, I actually like both Audis and soft tops.... Actually, tell them it's the kind of car that might appeal to me and that should put anyone off!).

I'll try that one when they come back in

I quite like the A3 actually - Not a car I'd buy, but it is a smart car

If only There's been a rather large set back in the last couple of days, so the S5 is off of the list without a doubt It was all my fault in the first place asking to go to Audi to just go and have a look at an S5

Well, we were looking at an S5, but theres been a cash flow problem in our household, so its been off the cards for a couple of weeks

The reason I'm feeling really guilty is because I reqested to go and have a look at an S5, and we almost walked out with this A3, and Mum is adament she wants one now

gggrrrrr soooo cross at the moment

Why not go for an A5, or even an A4 convert would be better than an A3!

The A4 doesn't have the room in the back Incredible to believe, but it was smaller

The A5 is out of the price bracket still

I wouldn't say no to a 2.0t A3! I was looking at getting one instead of a mcs but it was a bit out my price range for a nice one..Not sure about a convertible, but if it's your mums car I guess it's ok
