Hey - thanks all for your thoughts and opinions. Having so many option choices can be a good and bad thing I suppose and at the end of the day, it's all down to personal choice. Anyway, I've made up my mind....some will agree and others won't, but here goes.... 1. Colour: I'm gonna stick with astro black (all round) with the viper stripes. 2. Bodykit: gotta be the JCW as opposed to the factory fitted aero kit. Thanks for your opinions! 3. SatNav: I'm leaving it out and will stick with the Tom Tom. 4. Wheels: I'm going to stay with silver alloy. I think white makes it look a little cheaper IMO. Call me crazy, but I've seen a few cars with this black/white/silver combo and it looks pretty good IMO. Will call the dealer on Tue - he mentioned a delivery of around mid/late June. Anyone wanna buy a Porsche 996? :-) Thanks again.

Oh yeah, visibility pack, we have that and I'd have that again, its a good option to have ![]() Think you've got a good looking MINI there with that colour and the JCW aero kit and vipers, silver Vipers might look good on there Totally agree on the wheels thing![]() Seriously consider dropping the hifi, as the NewMINIStuff.com option is better and cheaper and can be done when ever you want, so you could spend that money on options that can't be added in later like the visibilty kit and the MFSW

That sounds like a great car ![]() Have a look in my gallery to see what your interior could look like - Bar the chrome line interior ![]() I have to agree with the MFSW - The dash in the R56 is far from user friendly

Hey Scrogg, gloves on? ![]() I did it the smart way and let the original owner pay for the Sat Nav, probably wouldn't have ordered it myself and had a Tom Tom (back in the day when they were £500+) in the Cooper.. ![]() I don't think it's more difficult to update than my Tom Tom, I just updated the firmware and purchased a new DVD when I got the S - been fine ever since, never had any trouble with the Tom Tom either tho' and it's the G0 700 model so getting on now. The new ones look really good with the thinner design and wider screen. That said I still have the Tom Tom and do really like it - there are features of both that I'd like to have in one unit. Tom Tom goes in the boot as a spare along with road maps (never used in 3 years) for road trips. With the numbers of little s**m on the streets increasing and happy to break into a car just because they see the slightest outline of a suction cup on the windscreen it's just nice to get in the car and there's the Nav ready to go.. As for just maps...........that would be like having no phone.......talk about not embracing modern technology ![]() Cheers, Geoff.

There's no need on this one ![]() Some people think paying over £1,000 for Sat Nav is worth it, most don't. It's all down to personal preference/priorities and not a conversation that can be 'won' or 'lost' by either group. Pretty much sums up why the used market is so buoyant in this country ![]() O.K, 'more difficult' was a bad choice of words. 'More expensive' would have been better, as updates are free with portable units, whereas built in ones require a new disc to be purchased. ![]() Pretty much the only reason I agree with for paying for an in-built system. Still wouldn't buy one though!

New mini dot com rakey, you mention the website www.newmini.com and say that they can offer you the MFSW as an aftermarket item, I was wondering if they had it for the pre 07 models, I have been told the 07 and later cars can easily be modified but it seems to be a difficult job for the pre 07, I could not find a kit for Gen 1 minis on the site. Do you know if there is one? Many thanks. Peter
