Do you know if there is one?

Many thanks. Peter

No I said that you should always get the things which aren't retrofittable when you spec the car, which includes the MFSW

And the website I said could do the stereo upgrade was NewMINIStuff.com

Yikes, I had better get new glasses. Sorry bout that. I read it as I wanted it to read and not what it actually said, The one option that I definitely wanted when going to buy my car was a MFSW, but you know how it goes, you find almost what you want and make the deal, Act in haste, repent in leisure. God those radio buttons and knob are so tiny to reach for when driving,

Peter

Sorry, off topic. I'm confused. I thought the aero kit = JCW kit. Who's got pictures showing the difference between the two?

Anyway, have some money to spend on my 04, want to kit it up.

All,
As expected, I changed my mind at the last minute. Here's the spec I just faxed over to the dealer for order today:

Cooper D
Astro Black
Clth/lea ray carbon black
CHILI Pack
Chrome Line interior/exterior
roof in body colour
chromed mirror caps
internal colour line dark grey
interior trim brushed alloy
DAB radio
HIFI <-- sticking with it.
White indicators
JCW bodykit <-- excellent advice, saw the BMW aero kit 'in real life' and it is naff.
17" Flame Alloys
Silver viper stripes <-- changed from white!

So, in summary, it's the black and silver look I'm going for in and out - very bling and macho :-)
I'll get a hip hop rapper style blinging chain and medallion to match maybe! :-)
I'll post pictures in a few weeks (of the car - not my Ali G impersonation).

It's weird, but I'm really looking forward to getting this car now - moreso than with previous cars! Must be something about brand 'mini'. Can't wait!

Thanks again all.

Nice, like the black and silver look

Not too late to add in Multifunctional steering wheel you know, or Vis pack

It is something about MINI - The wait is always more exciting with a MINI

Congratulations on your order - Look forward to the pics (again of your MINI not your Ali G impression )

Have a look in my gallery to see what your interior could look like - Bar the chrome line interior

I have to agree with the MFSW - The dash in the R56 is far from user friendly

Air con buttons and indictor stocks look like their out of Daewoo

The indicator stalk in my R56 is a lot better than the fisher price one in my R53 !
Agree about the air con buttons mind, but not sure what the indictor stock on a Daewoo looks like

Spandya,

I did something vaguely similar, traded down from an Audi Cabrio to a MINI Cooper S.

Your spec sounds good. Personally I think an all black interior is classier, but it's personal choice.

I went for Astro Black with full black leather.

Some other "essentials" to consider...

Sport suspension - you have to spec this if you want it, even with Chili pack, it's a no cost option

Bluetooth car phone connection. This is superb, gives you phone access through the on board computer thingy including phone memory. Also gives you centre armrest and gives you multi function steering wheel, and cruise control, and USB in dash. I've got a 16 GB stick with virtually my entire CD collection plugged into it all accessible through the on board computer. Absolutely brilliant.

Anthracite headlining - Black headlining basically rather than light grey. Looks smart with black interior.

Panoramic sunroof - Lightens up that interior. Also nice in summer with it open and windows down.

Heated seats - I like 'em

Good luck with the new car.

Here's pics of mine in black. I have Web alloys.

Well - just another update. Car should be mine on the 27th! Dealer says all looks good so far.
Porsche has had a few viewings - no buyers yet though. Maybe will have to resort to the p/x offered by dealer. (probably £1500 less than private sale offer I imagine).
Check this - one response from one of the car sale magazines wanted me to ship the car to his address in Dublin and then he'd send a bankers draft.YEAH RIGHT!
Roll on towards the 27th....
