| Trained Monkey | White. The colour of your car doesn't affect your gender or sexuality. Although I'll NEVER drive a pink Nissan Micra Convertible. It'd be confusing. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | Indeed. I find it interesting that someone who seems to think that choosing the wrong colour would have an adverse effect on his gender and/or sexuality would actually consider a convertible! Aren't convertibles considered to be girlie cars? I think the OP should buy a Humvee. Very manly car. Have a black one with huge rims and pimp it out. |

Offline | Since you're a real man (or if you were a real woman, or even if something else or something in between), I really think you should get a car with paint on it, and a clear coat over the paint. Bare metal would be degrading to both the human driving it and, more importantly, the MINI itself. Not sure the color of the paint matters so much, but of course I'm partial to BRG/BRG. Mine has a hardtop roof, but for a convertible, I think I'd go with a black roof instead. |

| MINI2 Regular | black. it's personal taste, as for marks, as long as you clean it properly every few months, ie, shampoo, clay, polish, seal & wax....then you just have minimal maintenance to do inbetween....and some fat black rims, e.g. black rial nogaros. - now that sounds like a hot car! pepper white convertible just doesn't have that wow factor. a hard top would be different, then it would hold it's own with the right body kit & rims etc. dr. blaze |

One of the wonderful tihngs about MINI's is the way the whole attitude of the car can be changed by the combination of model/colour/spec. What you need, my friend, is something like this: I like 'em big... |

Offline | Pepper White for me. I have owned black cars in the past, and they can be a real s0d to clean. They show up every smear. If you enjoy cleaning you're car and are prepared to spend an couple of hours each time you do, then black will look great. White, however, you can wash it, towel it dry, and it won't be covered in streaks. I agree the little black spots on its rear end does frustrate, but is not really noticeable unless you get up close. I usually take them off once a month when I wax it. Life's fun in black and white |

| Keeping The Top Off! | PW......I love my PC MCSc, black wheels, malt leather, white piping, black roof........Looks the best when clean.....have to say as any MINI back end doesn't stay clean long, esp in damp conditions. Wouldn't swap and I really don't think it looks girly! Go the PW! Esp if the aero kit is added..... OH MY OH MY! I own a Sidewalk!Almost......... |

Offline | My decision.. Well, it took many many many trips to the dealer and a LOT of thinking and sitting behind the wheel and I decided..... Sidewalk package, black leather, Pepper White, Chrono package, Limited Slip, Chrome exterior package. Its name is Piper. My name is Peter. Its color is Pepper (white) So its Peter Piper Pepper ![]() In the end, I loved both colors. So I went with the one with the least negatives and black is a beYOTCH to clean and keep that way.. All my life i have gone with light colored cars and dark interiors.. The tradition continues! |

Offline | Great decision, you're going to love it! ![]() We bought a pepper white cooper with chilli pack, black leather and black roof with electric sun roof. The only other option we have is the chrome line interior pack, which I think brightens the interior very nicely. IMHO It looks great!! As you say, black is a difficult colour to live with (owned one, never again!). I also think the sunroof is way better than a convertible, which always seems like a better dream than the reality! With the roof up they are very dark inside and have poor visibility. They may be nice at low speeds with the roof down, but that will be a rare treat (in my experience anyhow!). By comparison the sunroof adds light and air all the time, which always brings a smile. ![]() Enjoy!! |

Offline | Having a Pepper White Mini, and knowing several people with black - black II, Astro black etc, and yes they look good, but they show all the little swirls you get and if you don't want to spend time and money at a detailer avoid it. However, pepper white avoids this. Still, it depends what you want. If you want to be different, go for BRG - there aren't many around. There are loads of black minis and pepper white is also becomming ridiculously common too! |

| Mini's Newest Noob | I just put an order in for a Pepper White Clubman yesterday. I nearly settled on Sparkling Silver, but when I saw it in person, I thought it looked terrible. My other choice was black, but when I saw a black Club and a white Club next to eachother at the dealership, I went with PW real fast. My reasons were this: We have pollen EVERYWHERE up here right now, and all the cars in the lot had a fairly good coating of the stuff. I could've spelled my name on the black Mini's hood, but the PW looked so clean, and the colour is just awesome. Yes it's technically white, but it's a different kind of white that makes it not-white. lol |

| MINI2 Newbie | Well my girlfriend's Mini is Pepper White and hers is a hard-top. A lot of convertibles have a girly image to them unfortunately, which is usually unjustified, so I would go with black with anthracite or some other dark silver alloys for that meaner look! |
