My Mini Cooper 'S' will be twelve months old next month. Apart from the occasional 'cold start noise' when parked for a few hours on the downward slope to the garage.....I have had (touch wood) no problems.

If I do get the 'cold start noise' then turning off the engine and restarting it's OK.

Lucky you - I'm sick of Mini dealers. Hopefully they will get it right on mine this time, but I've said that every time it has been in! And that's a lot of visits.

Finally I have got my car back. They have just fitted a new clutch, a new thermostat, a new alternator belt, and possibly a fan belt. Luckily I've got a warranty, otherwise, it would have cost well over £1000.
