Have just got back from a weeks holiday to discover that some low life has pinched my side pod things with the indicator repeater in it from my Cooper S. Both have gone and it looks like some care was taken about removing them so I can only think they will obviously find their way onto someone's Cooper or One. If anyone in the South side of Glasgow notices a One or Cooper that is sporting a new pair of S side pods then let me know.
Has anyone any idea of how much they will cost to replace and if they are easy enough to rewire and refit yourself. Any help appreciated
Its a common thing to happen, so you can't just accuse any cooper owner who gets some, as they too can go out and buy these as easy as you will have to now. Chances are you'll find them on eBay just as much as on someone elses car.
Yeah indicators! I could not think what to call them!! Definitely not accusing anyone of pinching them but just annoyed that they will be on someone else's car when they should still be on mine.
Could have been worse, someone could have keyed your car and you could be facing the cost of a respray, I'd much rather someone had stolen my indicators, much cheaper to fix
This has happened to me more times than I care to remember! Cooper S side indicators were good little earners at one stage on Flea Bay. There isn't really a great way of securing these on, and if by making them secure it would cause the thief to try harder and risk damaging my car then I would prefer to just let the buggers have them and get new ones each time!
Just bought new parts to replace the stolen ones - £120!! from the Stealer's
The replacements are sliver coated plastic and I thought the originals were metal is that the case? Maybe I just thought they were metal. Let me know.
