Offline | My obsession with my MINI has grown since I got it in May. Recently my wife told me that I spend more time with the MINI than with her and that I talk only about the MINI to her...oops And, I also find that when I'm cleaning it or doing someting to it in the garage it is impossible for me to have a conversation with her because I'm giving the car so much dedicated attention...Is this Normal? So I want to hear from anyone else out there...Do you have any similar experiences or have a partner/spouse who is jealous of MINI? ![]() FORMER OWNER OF: COOPER Pure Silver / Black CVT, 16"5-Spoke, Profile Leather,Climate Control, Sports Plus Susp. Offline | Ricci, tell your wife.... that if she can sound, corner, accelerate and stop like your Cooper, you will give her a wash/wax job as often as you do with your MINI! Tell her you love your MINI because it responds to your every inputs and sounds like a screaming banshee when you hit 6,500RPM! Tell her the upside of caressing the MINI is she never complains and responds to you immediately when you turn on the key (don't mention the hard starting problem). Now tell us what she says. To answer your question, my wife sometime comments I spend too much time with my 3 babes (cars, unfortunately) too! However, she knows I love her....more? ![]() 2005 Mercedes Benz C55 AMG 2006 BMW Z4 M-Coupe - Premium Pkg. 2007 Honda Fit - Sports Pkg. 2005 V-Star 1100 Custom 2007 Honda 250 Reflex |

Offline | Igor, I enjoy your post and take it humor but.... what you say is far from reality! 1) Yes, seat maybe up because toilet does not smell like what you know it to be. It is immaculately clean and smells like a bouquet of flowers. Different from yours? And by the way, my place is like all my cars, spotless. 2) Dirty clothes belong in a laundry basket not on the floor. Clean clothes belong in a cabinet or dressser, no where else. ![]() 3) Partly correct because I love to watch golf and racing, but don't invite friends over to watch TV or socialize ever! My home is my sanctuary and I like to keep it that way. Watching TV puts me to sleep, if you want to know.4) Impossible because both my parents have gone to "happy hunting grounds". ![]() 5) I can't deciper your last line because it isn't English. But whatever it is; it parallels what you say in statements 1-4.... full of unfounded statements, nonsense and inuwendos. Where are you, Igor? If you were around Vancouver, come over and prove to yourself how wrong you are. Igor, maybe it will do you some good to learn from an old man like me instead of talking your head off. Now lets go back and talk about MINIs and stop this senseless talk. 2005 Mercedes Benz C55 AMG 2006 BMW Z4 M-Coupe - Premium Pkg. 2007 Honda Fit - Sports Pkg. 2005 V-Star 1100 Custom 2007 Honda 250 Reflex |

Offline | Your wife shouldn't complain. You could be down the pub chatting up other women and not come home till late. She knows where you are, protecting your investment, ensuring the car is looking its best the next time she is in it so they both look good. She is indeed a licky woman to have you. Well that's what I'd tell my dearly beloved if she ever complained morrisminiminor |

Offline | Are you sure you wife doesn't have a twin sister in Germany? My wife told me the same stuff and even asked why I didn't marry my Mini (don't ask - I don't understand either when she gets worked up). Still, on other occasions she loves the car lots and even suggested I should swap the Cooper for an S before I had thought of a good excuse for doing so. A wise man once told me 'Don't try to understand women - impossible, but you need to learn how to make them FEEL understood' |
