Offline | Thats truly unbelievable. I mean why do they do this? I hope he got a new car. Things like this make me want to emmigrate - I mean I love this country and where I live etc, but when people go around doing things like this. I mean where would they have got that stuff from - its turned the paint into bubbling water - all over the headlights, bumpers and everything. Such a shame, it was a beautiful car. What makes me even more angry is that if he had caught them and injured them (shot their leg etc) he would be in the wrong and face a prison sentence whilst they get away without punishment. He worked hard for that, and if these mindless retards would realise this, maybe they wouldn't do it. After all, they could work hard instead of vandalising things mindlessly and they too could drive a nice car like that. Shame they don't think like that.![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Someone reversed into my mini 2 weeks ago when it was parked in a parking bay on the roadside . It was outside an AL fresco coffee bar and I was only away from it for 5 minutes. I know which car did it because I parked behind it. When I came back a woman called me across and said someone had reversed into the car and driven off, I said was it the Black Ford Scorpio that I had parked behind and she said yes. Nobody got the number plate. Apparently he really hit it with some speed as well, it had pushed in back in the parking bay by at least 2 feet and that was with the car in gear. Good job there was nothing parked in the bay behind. There was a Ferrari in the bay in front, maybe he was paying too much attention on missing that![]() As it was a Scorpio it had one of those bulbous rear bumpers that rode up above the Mini front bumper and between the spot lights. Didn't smash the fog lights because it went beneath them and pushed the brackets back forcing the back of the spots down into the bonnet just above the grill, so left a scrape on one side and a dent on the other. To be honest the damage is almost impossible to see, unless you were told where it is because it's hidden by the spot lights. Considering how hard he must have hit the car to force it back so far, Mini's live up to their reputation of being tough little cars. It's getting repaired on Monday needs new spots and as the bonnet is double skinned and where the dent is, it's virtually impossible to guarantee a decent repair so the whole bonnet needs replacing. Total cost £2,200.00 :aargh Insurance company asked if I wanted to use their approved repairer or my own, so I said I would like to use the BMW approved bodyshop, hence the price. They received the estimate on the Tuesday and approved it on the Thursday, without looking at the car. Fortunately my no claims is protected and my excess is £250.00. You can't blame yourself for other people ignorance, so you just have to take it on the chin. Look on the brightside, at least all my stone chips on the bonnet will be gone ![]() |

Offline | Sportspack Mark showed me a thread to a car cleaning site he is part of, about a week prior to that that guy had produced a thread with pictures as that Audi A4 had about 18 miles on the clock at the time and he wanted to give it a proper treatment straight out of the factory!! The cleanest car I'd ever seen and looked amazing, but Mark had already showed me it in it's current state before showing me the nice pictures ![]() EDIT: Just read that actual link, Detailing world is definitely the site and I was right about the week ![]() Hope you get everything sorted soon Woody and the little ***s get what's coming to them. ![]() |

Offline | Well, my garage is incorporated into my house - you live on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Anyway, if your house collapses, the chances are you'll be dead anyway! They do put supports in - you could always park it in a metal cage!!! ![]() |

Offline | Mate I'm gutted for you, theirs some real R SOLES about ![]() ![]() Where I work has a large glass frontage that overlooks our car park, I saw a woman swing her battered old Escort into a parking space hitting a Clio on it's right hand side. The woman got out of her car inspected the damage to the Clio then proceeded to get back into her Shed and park it further down the car park. Because we have a system whereby members names and photos are shown up on a large screen as they enter I took note of her name and took her details off the system. The Gent returned back to his car not even noticing the damage caused to his car, but was grateful to learn who was responsible. Regularly I see cars zooming into spaces just narrowly missing other peoples pride and joy, also the favorite for most reckless drivers is to cut corners not expecting anyone to be A: Pulling out of a space or B: Pulling up to the junction they've just cut ![]() ![]() ![]() I think if someone had have hit my car in the same way I'd be looking at ways to make sure they didn't drive again if you know what I mean ![]() ![]() Rams |

Offline | Well said. Saying that, if you are a weak person (or delinquent), you may have difficulty with performing the basic tasks life throws at you and not have the intelligence to make sensible comments. Still, hope your car gets well soon! and our minis are safe from now on. |

| Home Alone | No more stupid than implying that damage caused to a car in a supermarket car park could not have been accidental. How else do you get said trolley to your car in a busy car park? ![]() How exactly is questioning an unsubstantiated statement and suggesting a perfectly viable alternative idea of what may have happened an 'attitude'? ![]() |

Offline | No, just people who can't push trollies. Im sure you can and are a decent enough person not to do that. If people can't push trollies they should either carry their bags to their car or get it delivered. |
