And back on topic

Neither of these caused proper damage to my car (my old ONE) but shows how inconsiderate people are!!

1) I was sat in the car in B&Q carpark in Aylesbury and all of a sudden there was a load thud on the back of the car Needless to say I moved faster than lightning and jumped out the car to discover a little boy with a football (and a proper leather ball at that!!) He was there with his parents walking across the carpark kicking this ball! I let loose and asked his dad what that hell he thought he as playing at letting a small child kick a ball in a carpark?! The response I got was not polite and I was basically told "he's my f-ing son he can do what he f-ing likes and if you f-ing shout at me anymore i'll kick your f-ing car door in" Nice chap! When he started to walk towards me I jumped straight back in the car as I didnt think i'd come off to well in a fight with a 6ft well built man

2) We have 2 staff carparks at work, the main one and the overflow bit. I always parked in the main one with all the other cars (bearing in mind the carpark holds a good 600 odd cars I would think if not more) which mostly are company cars. I kept coming back to the car to find a different colour paint on my white mirror caps Luckily each time it polished off and only left a small mark on one occasion. It was when I came back and found that the passengers side rear panel had some slight scratches on it and then a scuff on the door (polished out) that I decided no way was I parking there anymore!! So now I park in the overflow carpark (which only holds about 50 cars) and I often park across 2 bays! Ive since explained to the security guy the reason why, and I think he now realises I actually care about my car and so I dont get told off anymore And besides the MINI Convertible does the same

Some people are just rude, inconsiderate of others property and generally just dont give a stuff!

You know how sorry I was too see Blackbird injured Matt Just hope he's all sorted and good as new soon!!

Thanks Jo!

There's no use crying over bent and scuffed metal as they say!

I think the point that was being made is, accidental or not, someone should own up to what they have done and take responsibilty for it.

I have no doubt the person that hit my car didn't intend do it (at least I hope not), but i wish they had simply acknowledged what they had done so that I don't have to dip into my pocket for someone elses carelessness

Yeah he doesn't sound like a gentleman, so you probably did the right thing - he may have hit you. Still, if you are there again with your boyfriend/husband, he may have reacted in a different way. Still, these people are not worth worrying about - they'll never make anything of themselves. If he had have kicked your door in, that would be criminal damage - get photos of him doing it and hes in prison. What an absolute *****.

Scrogg - let it go chap - you're winding yourself up more than anyone else!

Back to the thread - it is sickening to return to your beloved car and find it damaged. Someone pinched my UJ valve covers today outside Pets at Home in Aylesbury - covers supposed to be lockable! Not exactly damage I do realise and only a few quid to replace but simply so unbelievably cheeky in broad day light on a busy Saturday.

Hope the car is back to normal soon Woody

Let what go? That was a pretty normal conversation for a Friday night on here.

You should see it when people actually fall out over something!

I was winding M.O.S up, yes, but not in the way you think. At the same time we were having our 'fight' we were having a perfectly normal conversation in another thread.

As for me being wound up? Never happens.

Just do what I do - use the cheap plastic black ones - nobody wants to nick them, and I save a fortune in buying dust caps.

In other off-topic news, there's a cow giving birth outside my office window - it's rather loud.

See... you're much less likely to get a response like that in the United States - particularly in Alabama... half the people out there have handguns in their gloveboxes, and the other half have shotguns in the gunracks in the rear windows of their pickup trucks.

Consequently, everyone's really quite polite. 'Tis a much better way.

Anyways Up.....................Back to the start (although i have been smiling constantly reading the last 4 pages) Woody sorry to see the damage to your car. shame these arses never seem to do it while the owner is in view . At least that would ensure you got their insurance details (if nothing else lol)

I've missed this place over the few weeks / months .

On topic!

Sorry! to hear about the damage 'Woody'sCooper', unfortunately I've had a couple of similar incident's last week (the other ½ & a friend).

1st incident: The other ½ pulled up out side (popped in the house for something , approx 2 minuets), when she went back out someone had scraped the MINI & drove off, Aero Bumper, Bonnet & Bonnet arch, luckily the bonnet hadn't actually dented although it was folded in (Bent back out without damage) the scrapes on the bonnet & bumper polished out and you can't really notice it, the bonnet arch is scraped & dented beyond repair (won't cost much to sort out luckily).

So we're lucky really, if it had have been a little harder or had to go through the insurance (which we try & avoid) it could have cost near to a couple of thousand £££££ to sort out .

2nd incident: A friend walked into a supermarket only to be followed by a girl saying someone's just hit your car , he went out side to see a trolley wedged between his car & another (occupants inside, they had just pulled up), someone had left a trolley on a slope & left the premises, then for whatever reason the trolley started to roll which wedged between the two cars, my mate who's also in the motor trade said he couldn't believe how much damage had been caused to the other car and his only had a slight mark that would polish out.

The annoying thing with this incident was that the manager said the supermarket would sort out the damage & gave them a number to ring (as they were both regular customers), only to be told "you're parked at your own risk, we're not going to do anything", to be honest this is what my mate was expecting anyway, but not the attitude of the women who he spoke to, so he's not going back (not that they'll be bothered ).

Mine's the one on the left.
Destined to live life £5 behind. Disclaimer Any advice given is my opinion only, if you decide to act on any advice / info I've given, it's at your own risk!
