Well thats pretty stupid! Showing a car that you can't order anymore, BMW!

I've just had a call from Park Lane to see if I wanted to come and see the new JCW but he called it a MINI Cooper S Works. I corrected him "MINI JCW" and told him its a touch to far to come.

Jon you've saved me a trip to the show aswell then as I wanted to see it but will probably just pop down to the showroom in a couple of months and see it for myself. farnborough do quite well with specced up show cars.

As well as people buying the car know what it is so dont worry about the badge

That's ridiculous.....

We were told he was head of production....I was talking to him about the lack of stop/start on the JCW and about the problems I had with the Cooper D, he wasnt really that interested I dont think and seemed to want to get away after I told him that

Still, he told us we could see the new Convertible at Detroit or Geneva motorshow..

Oh dear, doesn't sound like MINI at the Motorshow is worthwhile! Like someone else said, MINIs sell themselves...but they could have put some effort in!

I'm supposed to be going saturday and was looking forward to seeing the JCW, I got a letter from Robert Stern inviting me there over the weekend to see the JCW there....I might go there instead, haha

To be fair to MINI though they have put some stonking motor show efforts in the past hard act to keep up etc and as I have no intention of going they could smear the new JCW in poop for me. London's to far for a day out and too expensive to stay in. I chose to do Castle Combe on Sunday big drive but worth it unlike it would seem t'eh motor show in That London.

In 06 they shared the outside area with BMW, and had one of each model on display, plus the space invadors thing, and the concept car. So it was a big stand.

This years stand was still funky and very MINI, but the cars did let it down

Astro Black Cooper S, White Roof, Sport stripe, Chrome S-spoke, roof rack, aero kit spoiler....
Chili Red JCW with Black Stripes
White Silver Sidewalk S
Mellow Yellow ONE with Black Vipers
Laser Blue Clubman S with factory aero kit and Webspokes - I did like this
Hot Choc Cooper Clubman
Pepper White and Black Cooper D

And opposite was a Pepper White Cooper S by AC Schnitzer

Unhappy

I'm going Monday & was hoping to see a fully kitted out JCW, looks like I'm going to be disappointed.

Shame as 2006 was a great stand with the GP on show.
