remote start

has anybody fitted a remote start on there mini or do people think its chavvy and cheap?

if you have one fitted could you take a video i would love to see

one of my mates had it on his fiesta zetec. We ripped the p*** out of him then he sold the car. Chavvy-YES

they can be very funny to watch especially if a person has left the car in gear........bump
never seen it on a mini but think id still be interested.

i suppose they are a little chavy, but to be honest when the winter is here and you can stand at your front window and start your car and just watch it for 5 minutes untill its warm, then you will be laughing.
id love one for that reason.

I have it on my 106 GTi which is what my new mini has replaced, It's funny to watch people get really confused but in honesty i had it fitted around 4 years ago to the clifford alarm as it was an optional extra but i havn't used it the function in about 2 year. It well designed for the clifford though as it's only enabled provided you turn it off in the right way.

Also it invalidated the thatcham 1 which sucked.

Considering you should always park your MINI in gear it makes this a pretty useless feature in reality..

Search for: Handbrake Failure.
