Seriously they should hand him a folder of pictures of kids run down by prats like him, then stick him in a room with parents that have lost there kids to idiots like him and switch on the camera….now that’s one film I'd watch!

Some poor family guy with three kids back at home pulls out and what chance has he with that Muppet. Sad thing is the Muppet usually survives killing the Dad of three.

Would this have made the news though if the guy had been doing 80 and overtaking like that???? I think not....lets focus on the fact that the guy is doing probably twice the speed limit and not the fact that he has a wanten disreguard for anyone else on the road.

Unfortunately, it no longer seems to be only the relm of the young driver.

I wouldn't have been surprised if this video had been of a 30 something ot even a 40 something.

It seems to me that it is an attitude of society, and may even be a reaction to the overbearing government and rules.

Yes it may well have been a young guy who had the ability or stupidity to film himself, but I am sure there are plenty of people out there, that don't get caught!

Motorbikes do this sort of driving and at higher speeds every day yet nobody seems to bat an eyelid as they are bikes.

I didn't say that every young driver in a MINI is an idiot or even that every idiot in a MINI is young, the youth of today, so touchy

My point is that there is a certain group of younger drivers who chose the most trendy cars just cos they are the latest craze then rag them everywhere much to the annoyance of other road users. It gives us sensible and loyal MINI owners a bad rep.I'll bet that older Pug 106, Clio & Saxo owners felt the same way some years ago.
I am sure that you are the most considerate and law abiding MINI drivers but the fact remains that there are a load of young drivers around who are not and this is why, and forgive me for pointing it out, younger drivers' insurance is so much more than insurance for us wrinklies.

Thats why I mentioned the way that he did it rather than the speed as I know plenty of people on runs that have done well in excess of the speed limit. Dangerous? Not that I have seen..... there's a time and a place. The driver was stupid for overtaking like that however old he was. My pet hate is the old farts that do 40mph on country lanes and then proceed to continue to do 40mph through a 30mph village. Grrrrr..... if only it was legal to ram people off the road.
