There alot of things to do to a MINI one. You have already done the modification which is best bang for buck so to speak so that is good.

Performance wise, unless you want to spend alot of money bluefin is it.

You can either stick with OEM stuff, like the cooper s bumpers which I and alot of other people have done, chrome exterior pack etc, dealer options OR

go more aftermarket with wheels and suspension etc. I have OEM cooper s bumpers and filler cap but aftermarket wheels and suspensions parts and lights.

Lots of options, look through some of the threads in the MINI ONE section for ideas, alot of people have build threads so to speak there including myself so might give you an indication.

oh and welcome to the ADDICTION!

Hi,

I used to own a 2003 MINI ONE, I did just about every mod you could do to a ONE.

The end result was a 140BHP ONE... Now you may think that's not much compared to the 170BHP S's but power to weight that's pretty damn fast!. My ONE only weighed just under 1300KG My 2003 Cooper S is pushing 1600KGS,

And TBH I preferred my ONE, I regret selling it and some lucky so and so is driving IT.

But I will start all over agian with the S .

Best mods on the ONE.

MTH TUNER ECU RE-MAP

KW V3 Coilovers

Powerflex rear wishbone bushes.

RACE PRO 2 Alloy Wheels (very light)

Other Mods included a nice shiny bottle in the boot but not really worth it as it just runs out 2 fast

If you have a early ONE make sure you have your drive train uprated as the gearbox is made of cheese but the engine is bullet proof

Be prep for things to break when your at the 140BHP stage.. your really pushing the limits on what the components where ever designed to do.

Yea, iv looked at a few alloys when I was up Lohen, because my car is silver tho i thought it would be a bit difficult finding alloys that stood out. i then saw a picture of a MINI ONE on some ones profile that was silver with black alloys. it looked pretty good. im just going to check urs out now to see you car!
Thanks for that.

What exhaust do you have fitted to your car?

Do you really miss your ONE? what i was hoping was to get a mini one to start off with and then upgrade to a cooper s eventually, but then i became hooked into the moding scene as i think Minis have so many looks and so many different personalities which i personally love.

my car is pre facelift which means i have a crappy gearbox. when i bought the car there was a strange grinding noise when i went over 3000 revs which i took back about 6 times before they admitted there was a problem. they didnt tell me but one mechanic was shocked at how it hadnt blew up Lohen said they could upgrade it to a cooper s box would that and the drive train upgrade be a good idea then do you think?

did you have alot of problems then with your engine?

thanks for the reply!

The Engine was fine, and yes I do miss it, spent a lot of time and money on it.

However the geabox had troubles from day 1 (brand new) the last 1 I put in was an uprated one from MINI MANIA, but saying that a couple of months after I sold it, the guy contacted me about the gearbox , in that is had just blown the diff.

So I don't think MINI MANIA had uprated it enough !, but needless to say it was the longest lasting 1 I had.
