United-Kingdom I've finally got my MINI Convertible!

Hey everyone,
I just thought i'd announce that I've finally got my MINI Cabrio!
I'd like to take this oppourtunity to thank everyone who contributed to the threads I started - I have really valued your opinions, suggestions, knowledge & advise!

So heres the low down - I've got a cool blue MINI ONE Cab which I purchased from London (it was a MINI mission getting out of london, but a fun MINI adventure none the less!) As soon as I saw it I fell in love, that was until I took it on a test drive and 5th gear offered lots of resistance, but after a little time thinking about it, the answer was obvious... it had been in London all its life so probably rarely went in 5th! Since driving it home I've really stretched his legs and 5th gear is now fine thankfully!

Theres a couple of little fixes that I need to do, but at this moment, im so thrilled I havn't had time! The exhaust rattles at low revs, and I need some padding on the back of the clutch pedal as it sounds like metal on metal contact when you dip the clutch.

All my family and friends love it - my nan even cried a little bit! hehe! Everyone has been complaining because I've refused to drive with the roof up, MINI's motto is 'Always Open' so open it shall be!
Although I must invest in a wind deflector, its been a bit chilly doing 60 when its been overcast and spitting!

So now I have mine, I hope I can be of assistance/advise to someone thats in a position that I used to be in!

It was a bargain at only £8,000! And comparing it to one I looked at on friday which had done 10,000 miles more, didnt have the visibility pack + £1000 more, I thought it was a bit of a steal! Am just waiting for the dealer to send on the missing parts (an isofix point in the back and a missing bit of plastic near the handbrake.
Im chuffed to bits with it, shame my credit card doesn't agree - At this rate im going to be filling up with fuel every other day!

Yup I have the BEP Cab... such a rare colour here couldn't believe it when I found one in my price range and such a good spec... Yeh I saw the BEP MINI in one of your pics Ahh yes its such a small world... I know of Dalby... have never been there myself... have you ever been to Australia? My parents are originally from Ireland so I've had many trips to the UK and what not..

No i've never been, I want to go, but have just blown all my money on my cab !
My sister plans to go over to Oz on a long holiday & maybe even move there!
Wow - from ireland! Have u got an irish accent or an australian one? A combo of the two must sound odd if you've got that!
Your lucky that you've got the sun out there, thats the downside to having a MINI Cab in England - its always raining/miserable weather and when its summer its not even hot!
But hey ho! Who knows I may move to Australia if my sister does.
Would love to go to Cairns - looks so nice there!

MINI ONE Cabrio - the roof is always open!
