Mini price tags and depreciation

Well ive seen minis seem to hold there value how much do you reckon my mcs would be worth in 4 years.
I paid 7750 for it it was up for 8 k, its brg on a 03 plate good body work few stone chips and the odd mark about from use.
Its done 46k service 1 done oil done at mini and at the garage bought it from brake fulid and coolant has been done at mini to .
I dont know what options are on it just know it has silver and black seats like swirled ali dash, acs thats it i think oh checkerd mirrors and white roof
pretty basic just how i wanted it.

how much would it of cost new and what are the rarist colours to have in minis to.

Any body else want to post up here specs prices paid and sold and so on so i can compare.

Rarest colours have to be

Solid gold
Silk green
Oxygen blue
yellow (either 3)


Silver and BRG are pretty rare too...

I reckon you'd get 4k for it against another mini, but the high fuel consumption of the r53 may work against you...

Wouldnt be getting another mini then will be giving it to my misses next year and getting a type r impreza sti . hopefully in in the 4 years after ive paid the finance id be getting somthing cheap and eco or keeping the mini as we will be able to buy our house then with max discount, its main reason for deciding to get finance now and a loan so i have a good credit rating .
Depreciation was one of the many reasons i got the mini and went against the likes of the rx8 and other stuff i looked at.

I think you'd get a lot more for an R53 in Solid Gold or Silk Green if it's the original paint

Silver's not rare on an R53, BRG knocks about £500 off the trade value. In 4 years you'll be looking at a 10 year old car with Group 15 insurance and heavy fuel consumption, so I get the feeling R50 and R53 prices will be broadly similar by that point.

Depending on miles/condition probably somewhere between £2-3K is probably a realistic figure....

Silver is always competing with Red and the various shapes of Blue as the most popular MINI colour across all models.
