It must be true. I got two MiNiS and named my daughter Alison specifically because of the song sung by Mr. Declan McManus. + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed

Yep. One of the first things we did in our new Mini was go see Elvis at the Paramount in Oakland. But I can't recall if the first CD played in it was Elvis or not...

not elvis c. but ... Spoon By chance I went and saw a band I had never heard before in Boise last Thursday. I was really taken with them. Their name is 'Spoon' and they are from Austin, TX. I thought they were really good, and I describe them to friends as Elvis Costello'ish. Their disk "Girls Can Tell" is a good place to start.

God I feel old!! Latest Album is actually one of his best I think, to me its more in line with Blood + Chocolate which for my Money is the best ever, moody and haunting! Does anybody remember the hairy beast (was it an ape??) that he used to have on stage that went into the audience and choose people to give requests? 'You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off.' First Generation Cooper S in Electric Blue - SOLD it! Second Generation Cooper S in Pepper White

It looks like those of us who have seen Elvis in concert should be buying walkers instead of Minis. I had been hoping to name our twin daughters Allison and Veronica, but for some reason my wife opposed the idea. 2002 Cooper BRG/White 1947 Ford 8N

How funny that I saw this thread, since I got my Mini, I have been on an Elvis Costello kick. I hadnt listened to his music in ages, and for some reason, I just had to go out and get some Elvis Cds! It just seems to fit.

We went to see him at the Fleet Pavillion in Boston a while back. Don't remember seeing mini's there, but it's good to know EC is appreciated around here..! Did anyone see the 'Case for song' special on TV the other week..? Can't remember what channel or when... since I got Tivo, these things don't matter to me anymore ![]() Religion is like a huge dog. If it's yours it's very friendly and comforting, but it scares the heck out of everyone else.
