Well I was all set to collect only to get a call to say there is a part they need to get as the brake lights aren't working...they could've checked this out days ago. Wont be ready till tuesday now. I went to sign the papers anyway was kept waiting an hour to be told they haven't received them either. Very unimpressed to say the least especially as my old car's tax and MOT ran out this week so I am without a car for 4 days now!
It does have the maintenance pack which is valid for another couple of years.
Will be asking for the mats and whatever else I can get thrown in for the inconvenience and a days holiday from work wasted.
Its really taken out the excitement of buying my first Mini now :-(

Ahh mate keep your chin up, it will be all worth it. I know how you feel I was suppose to pick up mine last Saturday but due to the bits I was having done to it not being done in time I wasn’t able to pick it up.

Also it’s been ready since Wednesday but I haven’t been able to take any time off as I’v been soo busy at work due to taking time off to move into my new flat 2 weeks ago 

oh you're going to love it once you get it! I've had my Park Lane from new and it really is a great little car. I keep thinking about changing it for a JCW but in all honesty, I don't think I could bare to part with my Cooper.

Have fun driving it!

Park_lane - glad your liking your mini, i too look for every excuse to my new Cooper! iv had a few teething problems all to be sorted out next Wednesday. I must say the Mini dealer has been faultless all the way through the sale of the Mini right through to customer care.

Out of courtesy they are filling it up with petrol when it goes in on Wednesday & they are fitting Black Bonnet stripes free of charge!

Just shows how a little care & effort can help!

Kitis_1989 - Yeah I'm loving it, only had one night to drive so far though. Cant wait to finish work today.

I had ups and downs with waiting to collect it and stuff, the Mini dealership filled my tank for me when I collected it and didn't charge for the 6 months tax so that made up for the few days wait.

Also I gotta say I'm well impressed with the H/K stereo it sounds amazing with my ipod connected...was a bonus getting that with the car!

Hi Park Lane,

I have just bought a Park Lane edition too! I love it and especially love the interior! I was looking at something between £8000 and £10,000 and really wanted a grey colour. So it was between a 02/03 cooper s in grey or a 05/06 cooper park lane. I opted for the park lane as I just fell in love with the inside finish and the seats! Also love the silver bonnet stripe and I have a panoramic sunroof too!

I just popped a new Alpine Stereo head unit in so I can play my ipod and I am about to put a couple of WIpac spots on the front but then I'm done! Dont want to change it too much!

Anyways happy driving!

Earie

Hi Earie,

Congrats on the Park Lane! I'm still loving mine its the best car I've ever had. So pleased with the sunroof glad to hear you have one too!

I was tempted to get a new stereo but I have the H/K upgrade with ipod connection already, it sounds amazing but would like better ipod controls to be honest.

Have you put any pics on here?

Patrick
