United-Kingdom Are Mini's Magnetic ?

Since my Cooper Graphite arrived in June, Ive found myself drawn to park next to other Minis in carparks, not only that, Ive returned many a time to the car to find that other Minis have packed up next to me whilst Ive been away.
Is it a safety in numbers thing, or do Mini's have a secret tendency to flock together .
I think its great, and more to the point its nice to have other owners that obviously know how to park so that they dont dent others with opening their doors etc.
Ive still got a smile on my face everytime I drive my motor, but to be greeted with other Minis parked all around me in a carpark from time to time , just makes me smile even more.
So are Mini's Magnetic ?
Regards
Andy

think you could start something here with that - all Mini's flocking together in a sense of brother/sisterhood! - maybe all mini owners could wave to each other as well!

In the olden days they did wave to each other and to be honest ive gave other modern mini drivers a cheeky wave evry now and then and youd be surprised how many you get back

Haha that's funny you should say that. I have noticed since I had my mini that other minis park next to me. Generally one either side, maybe they are checking out the competition and the mods others have made?

Hi all,
Today was experiment day I tried the 'Wave' theory test.
My findings
1. I got waves back from one chap and two rather nice ladies.
2. a flash (headlights....steady on I know what you thinking)
3. a rather lost look from one driver, who seemed to be on another planet.
4. and finally I got a mixed bag of 'why are you waving at me looks on passing.

All in all I would say it has the scope for success, but I think its gonna take some concise effort from us all if we want this to kick off.

I for one will continue to do it in the vain hope that it may catch on, hell, we are parking next to each other in car parks, whats a wave amongst friends eh ?
It would be nice if the dealerships would take it onboard and mention it to customers upon purchase etc
Regards
Andy

The waving thing has gone on for ages, although relatively few bother! However minis do tend to stick together in car parks!

My Mini is definitely magnetic. I can park in the furthest spaces away in Tesco's with nothing around me and come back to find some some T"@t in a 4x4 parked right alongside.

i go out of my way to avoid parking next to MINI's. i normally now do it just to annoy other MINI drivers :P
i hate it when people do it to me... it's not like Micra owners park next to other Micra's !

maybe i'm just being a bit uncouth, but I find it a bit sad, like all this waving lark...

Yeah personally I'd love it if there was no other Mini on the road except mine....
