Offline | Caution: near end of month, cops look to meeting quotes! I didn't come to a complete stop at a stop sign coz there were no cars and people around, so I just slowed down to nearly stop and made a left turne And there was a cop hiding in a parking lot, pulled me over and gave me a ticket. Later on that day, my gf (who lives across the parking lot) saw the same cop there giving out tickets. I beg that cop is having a big fat day. Cops always say they serve and protect, but I keep seeing crazy drivers gunning down the road or zigzaging in traffic. I have never seen cops pulling them over, but rather ticketing people who are going 65 in a 60 zone or cases like mine. |

Offline | But you DID fail to come to a complete stop, right? I see lots of fish, and fishermen, but I have never seen a fisherman who caught all the fish. ![]() I think traffic cops generally do the best they can (yes, there are exceptions), and it is amazing what I have seen drivers do. I watched as a car made a left turn from the center lane on a red light, cutting in front of a marked police car! That is a bonehead move if there ever was one. Running red lights has become a sport in Southern California, and a dangerous one. I regularlarly drive a road that has a "T" intersection with a stop sign. I have NEVER seen anyone come to a complete stop at the sign, and have nearly been hit several times because of it. I now slow to a crawl on the through lane to make sure there is no traffic on the "T". On the other hand, I was once pulled over in a small southern town while driving a truck behind a charter bus because, and I quote the police sgt. here: "I just ain't never seen a truck and a bus on that road before." |
