MINICCA (Mini/MINI Car Club of America) is currently seeking MINI/Mini owners with business accounting skills. Skills in all aspects of accounting would be useful, but those with experience in non-profit organizations would be particularly valuable.

We are in need of one person that would like to serve on the National Board and several others that would like to volunteer on the Finance Committee. The time commitment would be approximately 5-10 hours per week for approximately one year. Subsequent terms for Board members will be determined by member-based elections.

The MINICCA is going well so far. We've got a good core group that seems to be ready to work to get things going, we've got verbal support from MINIUSA for the club, and we seemingly to have a lot of people interested in joining.

However, as far as I know, we do not have anyone who is a certified accountant willing to give us a hand yet. Lots of others with varied backgrounds though.

BTW, thanks Paul for puting this thread at the top - much appreciated.

Sorry to get anyone's hopes up by posting a reply, but - having seen this sticky on other forums with similarly low responses - I can't help but wonder the same thing as Paul.

Maybe accountants really don't have the personality type to own a MINI?

You guys are making me feel guilty. I can do the job but I just don't have time.

As to whether accountants have the personality type to own MINI's, I couldn't tell you. A lot of people are surprised that I do both.
