New control arms needed for lowering??

The next thing I want to do to my car is lower it 40mm. Some vendors are saying new control arms are needed to be able to adjust the camber back to spec. For those who have already lowered their cars - did you change the control arms? If so, which ones did you buy? If not, how are the tires holding up?
Thanks

There are camberplates available to buy so I'm not sure if new control arms are needed. I don't know of anyone who's lowered their MINI and got new control arms

Thanks. My guess is that most lowered cars have no other suspension changes so wanted to know they they are getting uneven tire wear. The problem will be worse the more it is lowered. Anyone with 40mm drops able to comment??
