Hey everyone,
I recall reading a thread stating that after production it can take up to a month to be delivered, checked and passed over to its new owner. Please to god someone tell me it isn't this long!
I've just got a ring from my dealer telling me that my mini is now in production (really basic MINI ONE, literally, didn't need any add-ons as its my first car). Now, I was told 4-6 weeks, more likely to be 4 weeks. However, its been 5 weeks (tomorrow) since I've signed the order form and they've only just started producing it today!??
Why would they tell me 4 weeks, if its likely to be almost 9 weeks?
grrrr - I was expecting a call saying, your car is here!
Not sure on the original 4-week estimate, really. Do you think they meant it was 4 weeks to get it into production? Or 4 weeks from entering production to arriving at the dealership?
I ordered mine in early February 2004 and it was delivered March 26 2004. It's the only new car I've ever bought, so I've no direct basis for comparison. Although, my parents ordered a Mercedes CLK and it took just over 3 months to arrive and they had a 6 month estimate for a new build on an M3.
The wait will be difficult, but I'm sure you'll think it all worth it when your new MINI arrives.
I got a voicemail today from Soper Mini Lincoln saying everythings going according to plan and my Mini will definatly be here before christmas, i orded it about 2 weeks ago,
