I personally love it (one of those marmite colours I suppose!) I'd like to see the return of a bright blue and solid gold LOVE that colour!

Wonder how much it'll cost - if its anything like the flip paint I don't think they'll sell many! Mainly for dealer demos I reckon!

Halliwell Jones Warrington had one of these in the garage in summer last year, I asked how much it would cost and I think it was around £2,000!

That Rainbow paint? Just. No.

We owned a Solid Gold/Black that my husband loved (although it was my car, he picked the color). He'd love it if that came back-- but this time I'd force him to purchase his own MINI.

Rainbow colour looks really good, i bet within 5 years it will be really common and loads of people will chose it.

They've had these options (well, same type of paint, different shades) for many years, since the first generation. Nobody (well, hardly anybody) buys them.

They're like the ones Nissan tried out many years ago on the Micra and Primera. They didn't seem to catch on then, maybe it'll be different with the MINI.

I think the main reason the dreamline paint never caught on was because mini ripped you off something rotten for it. MG Rover used to offer it, and to be fair there was 2 or 3 round my way (Ok thats not a massive amount but still fairly common), and they wanted £2k for it. Now a ZR is bigger than a mini, and the paint they used was the same type of stuff that mini used, so how can mini justify 8k for paint? Word is this rainbow paint will be a lot cheaper - hopefully it will.

Mini really are missing a trick. They will allow custom orders from park lane, but why not do a similar practice to the BMW Individual scheme, where its offered at every dealer. Different paints - decent colours etc that are different...

However, I'm with mojodiva, if solid gold was to return I'd buy it! Absolutely love it!

I thought the solid gold was about the worst colour MINI offered. Each to their own, and it would be nice if they could and would offer more options all the time.

There's a Solid Gold cabrio on the net here for sale and I have never seen another 1 like it b4...I'm sure it would have been one of a very select few! I don't mind the gold Something different!
