| Wheel Bearing replacement Front Drivers Side Hi everyone first time poster (sorry if this is in the wrong section)
Im getting a grinding noise when turning right in my 53 mini cooper. After chatting with a mate and jacking it up, we came to the conclusion its the bearing on the way out. I get a bit of play in the wheel but the wishbones and track rod ends etc are all ok (just passed MOT last month)
We can do this sort of thing ourself but when looking for the bearing online all i get is the bearing and hub unit as one for around £60/70. Is this the case or can you just get the bearing on its own?
Cheers for your help
Ps if im totally wrong with the diagnosis please stop me know :-)
Symptoms include - Grinding noise when turning right from front end. Only makes the noise when travelling above 10mph and kicks in the second you move the wheel right. |
