New MINI: Comfort Access and other accessories

Hi!

I'm buying a brand new MINI this summer, and it will be the first car I've ever owned so I want to get everything right.

After spending hours and hours browsing through the net (mostly this forum) trying to figure out what all of the optional items are about, it has come down to one last question: to get the Comfort Access option or not. From what I've read, many think it's a nice feature even though it sounds a bit useless, at least compared to its high price. So, any thoughts? I'm paranoid about the doors locking after I've pressed the lock button, and usually pull the handle to see if it's really locked. With Comfort Access, can I still try the door handle after locking doors just to be sure the clicking sound was actually the doors locking?

Of course, opinions and hints about other optional features are highly appreciated! I'll later post a set of options I'm gonna go with if anyone's interested.
