MY loocal dealer told me if i press the lock button twice, holding the second press down, it will de-activate alarm...however this has not worked, any ideas.......not into pulling fuses etc so want to know if there is a way to do it wthout destroying my car!!!

Hi pressing the lock button again after locking should disable interior scanning. As far as i know there is no way of stopping the alarm off the doors.

Which option are you after disabling?

Don't know whether its the same on the r56, but putting the key in the door works on r50s... You'd have to slide the key out of the fobby thing to get the key though...

I want to stop the scanning for the interior as i have the dog in sometimes when i go out.. As far as i am aware its one press to lock, second press activates alarm (light on rev counter does a "knightrider"). After that i am unsure really

Hi msw - pressing the lock button once sets the alarm and interior scanning - pressing it again within 10 seconds turns off interior scanning.

Will give mine a try tomorrow and report back!
