Turbo

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum and have a question.

My Turbo was replaced under warranty last August, since then it's started whistling again. I have booked it in for the 1st June, however I am 99% sure that they are going to tell me that the car is now out of warranty and they will want to charge me!

What do you think my chances are?

what year & month is the car?

if it is out of warranty and they do want to charge you I would ask for a good will gesture and if they say no, contact MINI head office of your country.

If the warranty is up, they may do a good-will repair, give you a reduced price, or charge full price. Given the turbo was repaired less than one year ago, there may also be a repair warranty. No idea what that might be in Cyprus.

As an aside - my MINI isn't a turbo, but on my other turbo cars, whistling is normal. Why do you think your car needs repair?
