Help with choosing mini

Hi there, I'm 19 & looking to buy a Used mini. My quesion is does the suspension vary between the one & cooper? Also does the chilli or pepper pack change suspension set up? I want it to feel sporty & I'm planning of putting 17 or 18" wheels on it and don't want it to look like it's sitting too high. Any help would be great thanks.

ignore the above comment, what sort of age mini are you looking for? there was a facelift for 56 plate onwards. on pre 56 plate coopers and ones had the same suspension - the one was just a cooper with a de-tuned engine basically. My advice would be to buy the One and then get a Bluefin remap (£300) which gives it more power than a cooper anyway. That way you save a bit of money for personalising the car how you want it.

Thanks for the quick reply & my budget is about £5500 so looks like I'm going to get say a 02 or 03 mini. Is the suspension the same on the one compared to the cooper of this age? The reason I ask is insurance is a issue at my age but if the cooper comes with lower sportier suspension i'm willing to pay the extra insurance. Does the chilli or pepper pack add sportier suspension? Thanks again

The only OEM suspension that lowers a 1st Gen MINI is JCW Sports suspension ... and only by 10mm.
