A couple of basic mini questions...

Hi all! I have just put a deposit down on a lovely little 2007 Cooper S and pick it up next week. Typically, there are a couple of things i forgot to check, but i think you lot should be able to answer these questions pretty easily -

1) I have the HI FI speaker package and CD player. I was told it has an AUX input, but where is it?

2) Is it possible to buy a lead from Mini to connect my ipod to the stereo thus hearing and charging at the same time?

3) I have seen photos of the upper plate on the dash board (piano black part) open and an ipod or CDs placed in there. Do all minis have this compartment or is it an extra (soory about the rubbish description!!)?

Hi, Congrats on the new purchase!
1) The AUX input is standard on all R56 MINIs, it's located under the centre console panel (just forward of where the cup holders are).

2) Yes, if you have the USB input port.

3) The earlier models had it removed due to vibration problems but I believe it's now standard in the later models. Not too sure about your 07, so you will have to check.
