Road Trip Advice

Hi Guy

I'm planning a road trip in the MINI with a couple of friends. I was after some advice as to were to go. Either 1 or 2 days.

Maybe some were you've been?

Well i've heard some of the best roads in the country are around the lake district area, also some good ones around landudno (sp?) but i'm guessing that would be too far from london?

Canada
I recently went on a road trip with my fiance in my mini. From Winnipeg Canada to Montreal, then NY, then Chicago, then Minneapolis, then back to Winnipeg. All told it was a 2 week trip covering 6000 km or so.

I realize that was of no help to you seeing as your in London but I figured I'd share anyway. Only advice is make sure you pack lightly. By the time the two of us got back with the shopping we had done plus our luggage it was starting to get tricky seeing out the back window.

Is it purely about the driving aspect, or the destination? I know some great roads (or rather, vast areas) which you can spend a full day or two driving, but they're all a fair distance from London.
