Is there a Mini approved tuning company (UK)

Hello is there a Mini appproved tuning company in the uk so i can have work done that dont effect the warranty?

as my girl friend is looking to get her Mini One re-mapped, she did want to upgrade to a cooper (122bhp) but with a re-map (£300) it could take her one from 98bhp to 133bhp as the coopers is £3000 to £4000 extra.

OR do john cooper works do after sales tunning?

You'll only be able to do that if its a 1st gen (1.6 engine) because they are basically detuned versions of the coopers engine.. however if its a 07 > the engine will be a 1.4 and to be honest you'll have to spend a fortune to squeeze 133bhp out of it.

hello it is a mini one 1.6 on a 60 plate. not sure when it was built.

Effective with March 2010 production MINI dropped the 1.4L engine in the One and replaced it with an ultra efficient version of the Cooper’s 1.6L powerplant.

You might want to check with one of our Sponsor's (Evolve or Performance Torque) to see if they have a remap.

Any remap you get will not be "MINI approved", and if any remap causes a problem with the engine it will not be covered by the MINI warranty.
