Offline | Hi guyz i just wanted to point out how impressed i am with my cooper! after test driving so many other "hot hatches" i still fink my car is the best among them ![]() initially i had started to hunt for a new car, due to small niggly/annoying problems but at the end of the day i just realised that theres no need recently i had test drives of clio 172, astra turbo, golf tdi 150bhp, and also cooper s... and i rate my car above all of em! why?! the clio was a good drive but had dire interior, astra didn't feel right at all- gallons of power but handled/felt like a corsa!!! golf was like driving a bus and cooper s in my opinion was just as good but that noize? that whining NOIZE! their all decent cars i suppose but i would never choose any of em over my babe! imo the cooper has awesome handling and just the right amount of power so if your thinking about changing your cooper for wot ever reason, DON'T do it ![]() ![]() !!!cheers and ave a good weekend ![]() |

Offline | Whine On The whining noise is absolutely superb, especially with a pipercross induction kit lumped on! Here goes, deep breath, i would always choose the s over the cooper, stands back and waits for the fireworks. Alan fae bonnie scotland ![]() ![]() |

Offline | nono don't get me wrong, the S is of course good in its own way, but say like me u already own a cooper, then i would never "upgrade" to the S, a)i dun fink its worth the extra cash and b)its just as good if not as fast ![]() when compared to the other cars mentioned above, the cooper looks and handles streets ahead ![]() |

Offline | Re: Re: Whine On Yeh, but you only get to that point when you're running the engine in its upper levels, whereas you can hear the supercharger as you put your foot down across the rev range. Agree that VTECs go ballistic, but we don't all drive like that for more than 5% of the time. |
