not a happy Monday -Mini side skirt @@@@ up

Got my S a couple of weeks ago
Ordered the aero kit side skirts & grilles
had to go abroad and leave mini home
Came home, invoice for left skirt, right skirt, left grille, right grille.
2 grilles in bags
2 huge boxes with skirts, each with different part number as per invoice.
Pulled one out of box and tried against car - nice
Sent the skirts to body shop to be painted (along with mirror shells)
Got a phone call today, skirts painted and they look great
BUT . . . . they are both for the passenger side
Took them straight to Mini parts dept, to be told this had happened when they had ordered an aero kit for one of their cars
BMW say tough - won't take them back cos you should check them before painting
I checked the part numbers which were correct I wasn't expecting some muppet to have boxed them wrong
Luckily the parts guys at my dealer are a nice bunch, and have ordered another drivers side skirt overnight, they say they will have to keep the painted one and hope someone with an EB mini orders one
Or I damage mine
Still got to sort out who pays to paint the next one though...
Anyway if anyone needs a EB passenger side skirt I recon you could get a bargain

The box was labelled as the part you ordered, but contained the wrong part? I'd try a tad harder! That is somebodies f**k up, therefore they are responsible. Fair enough that you check that the boxes agree with the order, but if the goods are not as described, then I'd want a refund, & the replacements sprayed!

Mikey the skirt wasnt fit for the purpose so under UK law you could actually take them to court if you so wished. Might just be worth reminding BMW of this. And i feel they should get the other skirt sprayed for you for the inconvenience at the very least as it was there fault.

Thanks guys, waiting for the new skirt to arrive then will battle over the paint
Just got to park with the drivers side out of view for now.
