MINI have offered to fit front spots and bonnet stripes to my MINI for the inconvinience of having more faults.

What do you think?

I have untill tomorrow morning to decide!!

That is'nt a bad offer R1,but why not ask for S sills as well.

PS,The worst thing they can say is NO but they might say YESSSSSSSSSSS.

Good idea. I might chance my arm!!

I was thinking of fitting the body coloured Aero kit sills as I am not sure about the "S" sills!

I'd bite their hand off (if you want the spots/stripes). At least they're offering something, more than a lot of dealers would do.

Thats the good thing about this. The offer was from BMW/MINI via Email.

They have been talking to my dealer (who is excellent) and the BMW regional manager. 10 out of 10 for customer service.

I wouldn't get this from another manufacturer.

But I suppose I may get a fault free car though!

Mind you. They all have their faults!!

R1 your dealership is superb. I think that's a more than fair offer. As long as your now happy with the car I'd take it mate.

Who is your dealership by the way? They deserve some praise.

I haven't got the car back yet, but I've been told it will be ready today.

The stripes and spots are items I have never really thought about before. I was a bit undecided last night as to whether or not I would like them, but this morning I think I'll go for it!

At least it will make my MINI slightly different to all the others by me!!

LMB, my dealer is Cotswold BMW / MINI of Cheltenham. I recommend them highly!

That's a good offer that I would accept immediatly... but my local dealer will never offer something like this... I am happy if they fix the faults in the first place.

Thankfully, touch wood, none so far in my 1 mth old Cooper.

R1, who is your dealer? I think the name should be mentioned in here...

Don't forget that I have already had one MINI rejected!!

As I said before, the offer of the stripes and spots came from the BMW regional manager, not my dealer.

This is often called a "make good" offer here in the States. Nice of them to do that. it demonstrates they actually want to do right by you. Good for MINI!

The offer seems reasonable. I would definately take the spots .. the stripes are a personal preference. We had stripes taken off before the car was delivered cause we were not real excited about them. The dealer said they are quite easy to take off, so you could try them and have them removed if you do not like them. Might be a good idea to take it to a different dealer if you decide to have them removed!!!
