Advice on selling Cooper S Covertible

Hello Mini lovers

I was hoping for a bit of advice...with a heavy heart I'm going to sell my Cooper S convertible soon; what's the best way to go about it?

I'm a single female and nervous about selling my car privately, but do appreciate this is likely to get me a better deal than part-exchanging it.

Does anyone know how well Mini Cooper S convertibles sell privately?

Any thoughts most welcome, thank you

Im sure you realise by now to use autotrader and see how much they go for privately. Use the filters in the search. Search for same car and look at miles, service history, extras, ie leather seats often adds £500 to the price.

When people are viewing the car do not take out the car v5 registration document, leave it in the house. If they want a test drive, you go with them no matter what they say, otherwise they cant test drive it.

Ultimately set a price in your head, put or nearest offer, or put no offers and dont budge. But dont drop below your asking price because someone will buy it even if you have to wait, its the major problem with people selling second hand being impacient, Ive done it myself too with cheap car, but just wait and sell it for what its worth

Additionally ive not sold a car for over £1k, so Id also like to know anyones views on this? I mean accepting cash for like £7k would be bad I think, but what else can you do? Go to the bank would be best I guess?
